I always serve my husband first. If we had kids, they would be first. 
I am old fashioned though. I like to sit at the table and wait until he starts eating before I start. When I have kids I'm sure dinner won't be so constructed though. Haha

Depends. Most day I (willingly)cook because I love it. I'll usually serve up his plate first. Then mine, and he'll carry them to the table and we'll eat at the same time. Sometimes I want to tidy up the kitchen a little before eating, so that way I don't have to think about all of the dishes just sitting there in the sink. So while I'm washing dishes, he'll be cleaning the counters or something, and then we'll eat together. Or, he'll cook for me and we'll eat at the same time! We're weird in the sense that when we serve eachother, we always try to give eachother the "best pieces" haha. Like, for example, if I make pancakes, I'll give him the prettiest ones, and I'll eat the ugly or slightly burnt ones :p haha.
