Should I remove nipple piercings and allow them to heal? Or just remove them at each feeding once baby is born.

Either is ok, I'm just unsure what I want to do. I've had them a year. I'm 4w4d pregnant.

I removed mine when I found out. My nipples/boobs were sore at very start of pregnancy anyways so I just decided it was time to part ways with them. Also I could NOT be bothered cleaning them/taking them out every feed lol. That's a lot of times a day!

I haven't decided yet if I will take mine out before I have the baby, or only for feedings. I personally think they will get infected and irritated if I am removing them several times a day, besides, the hassle of doing that hygienically while sleep deprived in the middle of the night doesn't sound like fun. I've had my piercings for close to 20 years now so they really are a part of me and I will be sad if the holes grow closed but in the end, nourishing  my child is more important than my body jewelry.  
It is your own personal decision.

I haven't had mine in for years and when I'm expressing I can see colosterum coming out one of the points where the bar went into my nipple. I haven't had bubs yet but have to express beforehand due to having gestational diabetes.
