How will I know when I'm ready?

I'm 15 and my boyfriend and I have talked about sex. I just don't feel a strong feeling like most people describe that I am ready. When we're making out, etc. I want him and more but I just don't know yet. How will I know?

I waited until I was married (at age 29!) and I have no regrets! My husband and I share a unique bond because we are each other's only sexual partners. It wasn't easy to wait, but I'm glad I did.

When you've made the choice to marry the guy & have the marriage license. Then you know you're ready and in it for the long haul..... Sex isn't some game and something to lightly talk about. You are a virgin and can't get that back.. It should be saved for your husband. Not to mention stds, emotional attachment/heartache and pregnancy. You're only 15, girl! Focus on school and friends.. Go to college, have fun! Then settle down with the perfect guy and lose it to him and him alone. That is so much more romantic than losing it just because that's what everyone else is doing.

I was 18. And I'm glad my I waited. We are married now and trying for a baby. You need to be 100% sure that it's something you want. As well as your partner wants. Talk with your partner about your concerns. Sex is a big deal and should not be taken lightly. I couldn't talk to my mom about it I knew she would freak so I talked to my husband (boyfriend at the time) and together we decided. One day, it just happened and it just felt right.

I would wait I lost my virginity at 16 and I regret it it's not all what it's hyped up to be I wish I would have waited to lose it with the guy I'm with now he is perfect and I am also much older now and a little wiser so if I could change time I wouldn't have lost it

If you aren't sure, you are not ready. Please wait until you are for sure ready. There is a lot emotional stuff that goes along with sex. And consider him as well. Is he mature enough to handle everything?  I know a lot of women who wait until at least college because the guys are more mature (sometimes). Do you have any adults you feel comfortable talking to?

Don't listen to the people telling u to wait...its up to u could u handle a child if you ended up pregnant ? Etc. you'll know when ur ready ...

I was 16, no regrets. The guy i traded with (😂) was a complete sweetheart about it and i knew I was ready from the sheer amount of times i looked into it during that month. Tread carefully though. Bringing sex into a relationship makes things go from zero to complicated real quick. Not for teenagers who are faint of heart.
