Miscarriage because of my blood type?

When I was 17 I got pregant. Later in my pregnancy I had a miscarriage. The doctor told me that he wasn't 100% sure what happened but he said I have a really rare blood type (I don't remember what it is) and he said he thinks that mine and the father's blood didn't go together very well. I'm not with that guy anymore. But does this mean that I might never be able to have a baby?.. or do you think the doctor didn't really know what he was talking about?.. I really want to be a mommy. But I'm scared of having another miscarriage. Because it was really traumatizing for me..
