Implantation or spotting?

I *believe* I ovulated on the 3rd. (My darkest opk.) Today, I had some spotting that was barely pink. 8 dpo. Is that possible implantation or period spotting? I've been off depo for 7 months and we've been ttc ever since. *IF* it was implantation when do pregnancy symptoms start/when can I test?
