Ovulation test positive 3 days after light period?

I had 5 days of light brown spotting when my period was due. (Its normally heavy and lasts.8 days) 3 days later my ovulation test is a strong positive! hpt seems negative but i can't tell if my eyes are playing with me.. could I still be pregnant? I have pcos so im always off but its never been this early and this light in a cycle.
