I was hoping for a boy, is it bad that I got a little upset that I didn't get the gender I hoped for?

I have a 4 yr old stepdaughter and my daughter is 16 months. We have ALOT of pink, purple, and FROZEN stuff. I really wanted to add a boy to our family but life gave us another girl. I'm still happy that I have a healthy baby in the oven but I did get a little disappointed that we are having another girl. Is that wrong?

I feel the same way! I am overjoyed my little girl is healthy but being that I have 2 girls already & not planning to have more kids, I was hoping for a boy. It's ok to feel a little disappointed, sometimes I still feel bummed out about it

It's ok to be a little disappointed aslong as it's not like a severe dislike of the fact it's another girl it's ok , I'd like a boy this time but I already feel it's another girl I will be a touch disappointed but happy either way x

I felt the same way a few years ago I was convinced that I was having a boy I even called the baby a he gave him a name and everything when I found out it was a girl I was very upset cried a lot and was kind of depressed but when I started having complications with the pregnancy that went out the door made me forget about the gender when she got here healthy I could do nothing but love her to death it's common to feel that way when your dea d set on something specially something that is out of your control

You've got so many hormones flying around, don't feel bad about getting upset about anything. I cried during the Simpsons last week and I'm sure I don't really feel sad because Bart made Lisa cry. You will feel better when your hormones calm down.

I was a little sad when I found out my second child was also a girl. I wanted a boy so bad however after a few weeks I was so happy and now she's 6 and the sweetest thing. I wouldn't change it! I'm having twins now and am praying for two boys but will be happy with one of each :)

I'm hoping for a girl and will be a little disappointed if it's a boy because the dreams of dress up and tea parties and all that girly stuff will be gone for a while. I'll love my child no matter what it is and in the end want to have both.

I have a boy now and only want two kids and I know I'll be sad if I don't get a girl. We find out on March 27th. Don't feel bad at all! Of course you'll love her either way but it can def be disappointing when you are hoping for something in particular for your family.

Gender disappointment is real and I would never discount it. You have time to let the idea of a girl sink in and fall in love with HER so that you can welcome your baby without that looming over you. :)
