How is it to move in with your Significant Other?

I'm about to move in with my boyfriend of a year and a half, into our own house. I'm curious to any advice on how to adjust and handle things, I know we argue a lot (we're so much alike we can't stand it, and ironically, where we are different, were polar opposites) we're happy and excited, but I'm curious as to what it was like for others to make and commit to such a change. I know this is going to challenge us greatly, so any advice or stories would be great.!! :) 
P.s: if you don't agree with our decision, that's fine, but please understand, it's my life, I will do as I please, and I feel this is right for us. so any bashing or rude comments are uncalled for and a waste of your time. I'm sorry, but that's just the way it is. Thanks for understanding.!!! :)

Personally that was the biggest obstacle we had to get over in my relationship when we moved forward and decided to live together.

My SO and I moved in together last year after dating a little over 2 years. My biggest tips are to be patient and give it time, it's not easy and you learn a lot about each other. I swear for the first few months we wanted to kill each other over little things (his beard hairs all over the sink, my coffee mugs I leave everywhere) bc we were adjusting to new habits. And also don't forget that it's ok to need alone time too. It's easy when you live together to spend all your time together and that's awesome but if there's times you want to just be alone or be with your friends that's totally ok. Now my SO and I try to have at least one night a month where we go out separately with our friends. Above all just try to take it day by day. We are so happy living together, even on days I want to strangle him I never could bc I would miss him way too much lol

When I moved in with my husband (he was my boyfriend at the time) we had been dating 15 months. It was not a huge adjustment. However, we both try to make the other very happy - so there weren't any arguments over anything important. We talked out EVERYTHING from where the plates would go to what color curtains to put in the bedroom. Communication is key to a smooth transition in my opinion.

Before moving in discuss major pet peeves and cleaning habits. Or If you need/like personal space time. Be on the same page and things should be fine. If you love each other livig together is great. We moved in after 6 months, it's 4 years now and we're expecting a baby. We argued more when we lived apart! We squabble still but just talk about your expectations ... Cleanliness, bills, messiness, pets, everything before so you don't move in then start rowing! X

We moved in together after 6 months I think. I was kind of apprehensive about it because I'd just gone through a divorce and living with my ex was AWFUL. If we had moved in before marriage, marriage wouldn't have happened, guaranteed. He was like a hoarder.

My bf now though is amazing. We are on the same page about cleaning and how we like things at home, split bills and chores, and it's like having a sleepover with your best friend every night. Couldn't be happier. 😊

I moved in with my SO after almost 2 years of dating... Just be prepared for the first couple of months. They were the hardest for us. You're adjusting to each others habits and being around each other more than you're used to.. But if you can stick it through that, it's the best decision I ever made.. Dont get me wrong, he still drives me crazy and annoys the shit out of me at times but I couldn't imagine life without him
