Am I alone?

Any of you ladies type 2 diabetic? I am. With my first pregnancy, everything was fine. My blood sugars were amazing, and I had a healthy baby. This time around, my blood sugars are crazy. My fasting sugars have been between 111-140! Not good at all, considering it's supposed to be between 60-90! 
 What special diet do you follow to help you keep your sugars under control? I take metformin, and it makes me sooooo sick.

I am a diabetic, had two DKA. So whoever told you that your sugar suppose to be 60-90 is wrong. 60 is way too low for your body to function. It's supose to be 100-120 max and after eating (2hrs) it should be 150-180 max. anything below 90 is low blood sugar. Congrats on your baby by the way, i dont know your lifestyle but just moving around more and keeping active will help alot. Eating healthy too, you have to count carbs and not calories, (15 carbs is 1 point. 4 pt for breakfast, 2 pt for snack, 5 pt for lunch and dinner) I call them points, makes me remember easier. Vegetable should take half your plate, 1/4 should be starch, 1/4 protein, and throughout the day 8 glasses of water. I hope this helps. you learn a lot when you're stuck in the hospital with DKA
