Pregnant?

I was suppose to start my period last Tuesday so I took a test Friday and it was negative but a few weeks before I was kinda spotting for a few days I was on the pill at the time and took all of them except the ones I take the week I'm suppose to have my period. should I call my doctor because my ex has me stressed over it and is telling me I have so many symptoms or should I wait
