Early glucose test?

My dr told me id need to do an early glucose test because of my PCOS, as well as one later on in the pregnancy. I'm almost 15 weeks now. Id never heard this before. 
Did those of you with PCOS also have to do an early glucose test?

I have pcos. I was borderline before I got pregnant. I am carrying twins! I took the early glucose test at 10 weeks and passed however I was still on metformin 1000mgx2 a day. I talked to my dr at my 13 week appointment and I had been testing at home and I told it fluctuates daily. She said to test for two weeks and come back in but she is pretty sure that because I was borderline before and the fact I am carrying twins I most likely have gestational diabetes. When I went in for my check up she was concerned and it appears I do have either gestational diabetes or I'm borderline so Now I have to stay on metformin and go to classes and see a specialist but I honestly would rather be safe then sorry. I was very upset at first but I would rather it be watched closely and the babies too then for something to happen because of it.

I ended up doing my first test around 13 weeks and passed. I was more nervous for the second one which I did last week at 28 weeks, but passed that one too :)

I had mine a week ago at 10 weeks. I am still on my metformin and I passed mine. I was so nervous about it too!

I did one in my first trimester (also have PCOS) and will be retested in the 3rd trimester also.

I had one as well during my first trimester. Almost 25w and will be going for a 2nd one in a week or so

I have PCOS and after a blood panel was done had higher thyroid levels too. Doc had me take the one hour glucose test at 14 weeks which I was borderline on so to be safe, I also took the 3 hour one and passed. How your body processes sugar can change during pregnancy so if you have a higher likelihood of GD, they will check you again later around the same time everyone else would have their first test. At 28ish weeks, I took the one hour again and was borderline again. They had me do the three hour as well and I was high on 2 of the 4 tests so they went ahead and diagnosed me with GD. I was sent to a specialist in fetal maternal medicine where they gave me a glucose monitor to check my blood sugar 4x a day and did another ultrasound to make sure baby wasn't getting too big because I wasn't processing my sugars right. So far, I have managed the GD through diet and exercise alone but if that changes, they will recommend Metformin. Hope that helped!

I'm 17w today and I was on metformin before getting pregnant because of my a1c (insulin) so I am having my first glucose test tomorrow, very early.

Yes I had one!! They made me go in before 14 weeks somewhere around 12 I think I passed but was on metformin then my next one is in a few weeks I believe
