How are you moms adjusting to your new life?

Nights have been a bit of a struggle because baby gets a little fussy but otherwise I love being a mom! I could just stare at her for hours. My fiancé goes back to work Thursday, I'm pretty sure I'll be an emotional wreck! I love being home with my family. How are all you ladies adjusting?

I love this thread. Everly is a doll so far. Most the time she sleeps and sleeps. She slept through our first night home aside from waking up for feeding. All the other nights she has had a two or three hour wide awake period. I finally figured out that she must be getting cold. Swaddling has seemed to help. I love the short times she is awake. She will just stare at me. My heart melts. We spend most of our time dressing in cute outfits and fuzzy socks. I spend most my days sending pictures to our family members. Everyone is quite taken with her.

Being mommy is definitely amazing, although very hard too. It's so crazy how we made such little angels. Baby boy Pierce is 5 days old. At first, nights were a struggle, he was getting a belly ache and tons of gas. Went to the doctor yesterday for a weight check and doctor said it was okay to use has drops. They have been great and definitely calmed him down when popping or farting. I am breastfeeding and it has been going very well. Got my milk in yesterday and seems like he's having more trouble latching. Also he does not have a feeding schedule at all, I don't know how to get him on a schedule. Sometimes he'll go 3 hour in between, sometimes he will only go an hour. He favors my right side, don't know why, and the left side seems to get very sore. I actually pumped this morning just to get the relief. How long is breast milk good for in fridge and freezer, anyone know? It's getting better, just trying to figure this mommy thing out! Daddy goes back to work Monday, he's helped so much and I am not looking forward to it! 😕

Being a mom to my son has been like a dream! But I'm sooooooooooooo tired! He hates having his diaper changed, getting his temperature taken, and when I move the blanket around on him.

Brianna is such a good baby.  I love being her mom and I can't wait for it to be warmer so we can go to the park to take walks and enjoy our backyard.  She's so little and precious, I'm so in love.  I know I'm suppose to wake her up in the middle of the night but I've tried and tried and she refuses to wake up to eat.  So, I have given up and she sleeps from around 11-12 til 5 or 6.  After that first morning feeding we both go back to sleep for another couple of hours.  Some days I'm still really tired but it's been good so far.  She loves bath time too.

I love it but I have to be honest, it is way more hard than I thought! My husband was home with us for two weeks and he would burp and change baby after I fed at night or watch him during the day so I could nap. He just went back to work and I had a meltdown. Baby was crying, I was crying and feeling overwhelmed BUT we adjusted and now I feel more confident consoling him or meeting his needs. I wouldn't change anything in my life right now. There is so much love for my family and I feel like my life has a whole new purpose.

I love being a mom, but like you guys, I'm also finding the evenings the hardest. I guess because of all the recovery and my body decompressing after a long day, but it is so worth it to have my little baby boy! We even enjoy his awake periods when we get to play and entertain him!

So far so good. I find it the hardest between 5-10pm I'm just so tired then otherwise I love it! He is such a good baby so far and so cute!

I love being a mommy 😩 I'm breastfeeding and it's going great. It makes my son always want to be in my arms but I don't mind. The only time he cries is when he's hungry and it's not a huge scream. He sleeps great at night 😊 I'm just sad I have to go back to work in 7 weeks 😔 but I hope everything is going well for you ladies as well 😁
