Hip pains?

Question

This is my first time being pregnant and since I've gotten pregnant my hips have been killing me. Specifically my right one more than my left and I've been having a lot of ciatic nerve pain. Is this normal? I'm pretty early in my pregnancy still.

I've had the same thing, got so bad I could hardly make it through the grocery store! My husband rented a wheel chair and pushed me around the mall the last time we went! So, I talked to my midwife about seeing a chiropractor and she strongly encouraged me to do so... After my first appointment I already had some relief! And each day it seems to get better and better... He gave me some stretches/exercises to do at home between visits... I can't believe the difference! I wish I had found him sooner, the relief is just amazing... I'm finally starting to enjoy my pregnancy!

Ugh I had/have the same problem and they say it's normal.  I use a hot compress on my hips when I wake up in the morning- the kind you just throw in the microwave.  At least the heating pad provides some relief...

Early on in my pregnancy, I started getting horrible hip pain. It's too the point, where at 23 weeks, I started sleeping elevated on my back. If I lay on my sides, I get excruciating hip pain. I also have a small frame. My Doctor said it is very normal, I am now 37 weeks. I feel your pain!
