IUD appointment tips

Meredith • Thu, Mar 19 • 36 year old 3rd grade teacher. Blessed wife of 8 years but lucky to call him my best friend and biggest supporter for about 17 years. We have a 4 year old who keeps us constantly on our toes and fills our hearts with more and more love everyday.

I just made my appointment to have an IUD implanted next week. What should I expect (bleeding, cramping, etc) after my appointment and the days following? Also, any tips or recommendations for this appointment (before during or after)?
