Zero Sex Drive b/c of Birth Control?

My husband and I have been married 10 months. We waited to have sex until marriage and I was a virgin until then. I was put on birth control a month(ish) before the wedding.

I have been struggling to feel turned on at all not to mention I don't have a hope to climax when my husband and I are intimate. He is trying to be patient and understanding but I can tell he's sexually frustrated. I understand the importance of having a healthy sex life, and want nothing more then to do that for my husband to be happy AND not to mention I WANT GOOD SEX! But my sex drive is pretty much zero.

Is this low sex drive because of the birth control? Should/can I take supplements for libido while on birth control? Is there something wrong with me?? Please help!!

Get off birth control and switch to condoms. That's the only thing that saved me. Don't kill your organism with hormones... There are other options.

I gained weight and had zero sex drive on loestrin. Eventually switched to ortho tri-cyclen lo and it was a complete turn around. Try changing brands-- I wish I had sooner!

Try sprintec, that's what I'm on and my sex drive has been better than being off the pill.

Bc lowered my sex drive horribly. My marriage  improved so much once i stopped it. Now i peruse my hubby. :)

I lost my sex drive when I was on the pill, I got off of it and it's back!

My husband and I got married in October of 2013. For the first 13 months I was on birth control (Trinessa) and had NO sex drive. My husband got a little frustrated at times because I would never initiate sex and he would always have to make the first move. I stopped taking BC this past November. In late December I found I actually have a sex drive! My husband is so ecstatic that he told me last week "you can never take birth control again!" My response, "do you want 19 kids like duggars because that's what will happen if I don't go back on!" :) Anyways, BC was a major libido killer for me! Use condoms if you can!

I've been married 6 months and the same exact thing! I've been thinking something is wrong with me and I didn't ever really think it was the birth control but now it makes a lot more sense. I don't have answers but wanted to thank you for posting because I thought I was the only one. Best of luck and hope things get better.

BC has always made me miserable. I haven't on it since I've been sexually active, but when my doctor put me on it as a teen to regulate my cycles, it was terrible. I gained 30 lbs the first time and then had a 3 month long period the second time. If you don't have to be on it, don't!

I went from wanting sex all the time to not wanting it at all because I went on birth control. My fiancé and I used to have sex 3-4 times a day, now it's maybe 3-4 times a month. I'm off birth control and have been for almost a year. I bounced back for about a month and then my sex drive plummeted again. I enjoy having sex with my fiance, and it's always great but I can never get it started and I never want to until fiancé starts it. It's a pain in the ass and my OB hasn't been helpful at all
