Might be strange. Tmi pic

I've been spotting a few days now. It never comes out onto my panties. I put a tampon in real fast n pulled it back out and there's thick brown the mucus is thicker n not sticky with this brown spotting. I am due for af soon. Last time I had this I was having a chemical pregnancy. Tests are negative though. What could it be.
