I'm been trying to conceive but have a little issue

My boyfriend & I have been trying for the past 6 months with no luck. He stated about a month ago that we are trying too hard so let's try not to then maybe we could get pregnant. The last few times we have had sex he has been pulling out, which really frustrates me because it definitely won't happen that way. The last time he came on my backside, this was also on one of my fertile days. So, I scooped it up and put it inside me. He thought I was crazy but I told him I was fertile & he needs to stop pulling out. This was on the 17th, so it's still too early to take a test but I'm hoping this little trick worked. Does anyone have any insight on my situation, please share.
