5 weeks no sac. I had an ultrasound today and they couldn't see a sac my HCG is doubling every 48 hours. Has this happen to anyone and then a week or two later they find something? HCG is only at 989

This happened with my son, they told me that my baby wasn't viable, went somewhere else the next day to get a second opinion and they found the baby, and a heartbeat!

I went to ER at 4 1/2 weeks for kidney stones.  Could not identify baby in ultrasound. HCG levels were only at 600 at that time.  Didn't see my first child until I was 7 weeks and don't go for my first real checkup until 7 weeks this time. I'm sure you will see something in a couple of weeks. Generally the sac doesn't even fully develop until 4-5 weeks, so either you're ectopic or it's just not there yet.  I'm sure you'll be fine!!! I was a little over 4. They just saw the sac and the yolk sac on Thursday. You could be not as far along as you think. It's all based on a 28 day cycle.

They usually can't see a sac until your hcg levels are higher. That's why they usually make you wait until 7-9 weeks.

Yes this happened to me, it wasn't until week 7 that they found the yolk and a baby with a visable heart rate.  The thickening of your lining is a good sign they told me when my first ultrasound showed nothing.

I had my ultrasound the other day but they couldn't see anything. Acocording to my hcg levels I should be about 4-5 weeks. Gotta go back in 2 weeks to see if there's a baby in there. Super scared. Good luck

I had an ultrasound at the hospital because I was having a little spotting. For mine they said they could see a single intrauterine gestational sac of 7.4mm containing a possible yolk sac but could not see a fetal pole. Many people told me it's just too early to see so I wouldn't worry to much especially if your levels are going up

My Dr told me that they can't see anything on ultrasound until your levels are Between 1500 and 2000. So I think it's just to early hun. It will be there next time.

This happened to me at the emergency room and I scheduled a follow up with my doctor. I've done blood work 3 times to find out its doubling fast. On Monday I was over 6400 on my levels.
