Smoking hookah!?

So me and my boyfriend have just started  TTC #1. He has smoked hookah for over 2years me only 10 months.. We talked about how hard it can be for some with trying to convince being a smoker. So we decided to smoke twice a week. Well we only have one day off togetger so today I decided to leave work early to surprise him and he is smoking.. So now I'm wondering how often he dose that when I'm gone.?. If I have a right to be mad.?. And if I should take it as a sign he isn't all in it like me.?. It's not like he had a bad day he has only been at home and nothing is picked up.. Also the other day I came home and noticed he did smoke but I just left it alone Cuz the day before that was bad for him.. I could really use some advise please.

He's probably addicted. It may be much harder for him to stop that you. I would talk about that with him and also talk about what can happen to a growing fetus affected by smoke. I wouldn't do it in accusing way, just gently in a way so that he understands that a baby is something you really want and that it's very important not to be smoking. It also lowers his sperm count which makes it harder to conceive too. There's a good book I recommend called The natural way to better babies. Maybe you can show him the sections about smoking.

I don't think it's possible to be addicted to the hookah. There's no nicotine or chemicals, it's just tobacco. There's nothing addictive in it.

We smoke it a lot. My husband is middle eastern so it's a big part of his culture. He smoked it while I was pregnant, but I didn't. He did cut back a lot because it just irked me to see him carrying on without making any changes when he didn't even want me walking post the microwave, lol! I say- if he's smoking it in front of you, not cool because you're trying to cut back. If he smokes it alone, no big deal. At least he's supporting your decision by not taunting you with it.

You can get herbal sheesha instead of the tobacco (which can be worse or just as bad as smoking cigarettes)

You can buy shisha that is made without tobacco. I don't see it being bad or addictive. The water filters out the majority of the bad stuff. I smoke mine here and there. I vape mostly.

It is possible to be addicted to pot it's going to be so hard and you're going to have to be selfless. If you can't be strong for the both of you than leave now.
