Ovulation

My cycles are 28 days like clockwork, apps say I should be ovulating on day 14, so this month I would have ovulated on the 14 or 15. On the 20 I felt an intensely sharp pain on my right said on and off all day. The pain would sometimes take my breath. So my question is, could I be ovulating then? I mean dh and I bd everyday or every other day, I'm just curious if it's possible to have such a short luteal phase. This happens every month. I don't have cysts or anything like that, I'm just wondering if maybe my peak days aren't what I thought? Been TTC since september and I have other children. The youngest is 5. Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated. I'm starting to stress and I don't want sex to end up being a chore.
