Serve Period Issues

I always have had a problem with serve cramps that leads to me throwing up. I had to call out of work at the beginning of the week. But my period always cause so many complications for me. I'm just shocked that it cause the so many problems. I am physically active so why is it causing me issues. I am stuck on what to do. The serve cramps come before and after if that helps anybody.
