Change doctors at 14 weeks?

Question

Since I'm a Veteran, I went through the VA who pays for everything, but I'm not happy with the ob's from their list of approved doctors. I have private insurance as well (who I thought was on their list, but was not) and my hubby and I loved the experience. They were informative and overly helpful. Test results are available online. Someone was always available and nice about it. Should I just suck it up and save the $$ for baby or switch doctors and have a happier pregnancy? I should add that I'm over 35 and I have to see another set of doctors (specialists) because of my age.

You can change doctors at 39 weeks or when ever you feel like it. You should love your care provider, and be confident in them, money shouldn't be the deciding factor imo.

I'm also going through finding a new doctor at 15 weeks. Annoying but I think its totally worth it! It's so important to feel comfortable.

I believe it's important to be comfortable with the person you chose to be your doctor. If you feel that the other will be a better fit for you then go for it! What happens when you have concerns or needs that you need addressed? If your not comfortable how are you going to fully trust the information they give you? I think peace of mind is worth a little extra money.

I think it is very important to like your doctors. I trust my ob 100% whatever he says I pretty much just do. I can't not imagine not being happy with my ob it would make the experience not good!! I would def switch! But if you do switch switch now or soon! Just because you are starting to get up there in the weeks! Best of luck :)

Switch! I am 14 weeks as well and just changed Drs and I could not be happier with my new one! I never really bonded with the other and felt she was a little judgey of me. Had my first app with the new dr today and everything was great.
