Breast pump?

So for my daughter I breast fed and had a medela in style advanced breast pump but I was a terrible pumper. I could barely get an ounce from each side so I pretty much just ended up exclusively breastfedding. I was wondering if any of you ladies ever had the same issue and switched to a different pump and had better results? I'm thinking I might try a different pump this time around but I'm not sure which ones to look at! Any recommendations would be appreciated!! Thanks :)

I do believe that most insurance companies will pay for a breast pump. So before buying one call and find out. My sister only paid $25.00 for a double pump and I know my insurance covers the whole price. Good luck!

I think that's a very good pump.  Were you only pumping after a feeding?  If so, I think 1 oz/side is pretty normal.

Next time meet with a lactation consultant. I pumped with my last pregnancy (was a surrogate) and got 5-8 oz per side each time I pumped (every 4 hours). I wonder if the pump you had didn't fit or get the proper auction needed to extract the milk??

I rented the hospital pump for the first couple months and then switched to the in style advanced I didn't get as much as with the hospital grade one but it still worked good
