Clomiphene
DH and I have been TTC for quite a while now. I finished my first ever round of Clomiphene on March 25th (CD 8) after taking Provera to produce a period. Today is CD 15 and I should hopefully ovulate any time now if I haven't already. We've been BD'ing just about every day since my period ended on CD 9. My doctor put me on 50mg of Clomiphene for 5 days because I haven't been ovulating due to PCOS. My questions are: Has anyone gotten pregnant with PCOS on Clomiphene 50mg the first round? Does anyone know the probability of pregnancy with this dosage? How long did it take for you to ovulate? I go for a blood test on CD 20 to find out if I ovulated. But I can't use opk's, they don't work for me because of the PCOS. So I won't know if I did or not until after the fact. Really hoping all of this works! If it doesn't then the next step is a higher dose of Clomiphene. After 3 rounds my doctor will send me to a fertility specialist and I'm just not sure if we could afford the more advanced fertility treatments on top of the bills that come with a pregnancy and baby. We want a baby more than anything and it seems everyone around us is achieving our dream with no effort at all. My coworker is pregnant, yet smokes cigarettes and probably marijuana. DH's younger sister is pregnant too. Which means she'll have the first baby in the family, the first grandchild. Sorry for the long post!! I'm just so exhausted from going through all of this, after treatments and a surgery and everything else going on.
