Contractions!!!

Hi ladies

I've been awake since 4am (uk time) having regular contractions. I called the midwife at 7:30 to let her know that they were 4/5 minutes apart and she told me to take co-codamol and wait. Since taking co-codamol everything has slowed down. I'm still contracting but not as often but they're still getting more painful... Any ideas on where I go from here? They won't accept me at the maternity unit unless they are less than 5 minutes apart and following a good pattern and Ive lost all hope now.
