Yeast infection?

My doc says it's ok to use monistat since I'm experiencing itching and discomfort. 38 weeks now. Will it hurt the baby? Any side effects? I also have GD and eat way too much icecream but I'm anxious! No dilation.

I've had several yeast infections this pregnancy and was told to use Monistat 7.
