Heartburn already??

Question

Any one else have heartburn already?? I'm 8 weeks and go in for my first appointment tomorrow bit I'm already having really bad heartburn. My diet hasn't changed so I don't think that's it. I have a big bottle of tums sitting next to my bed because I have heartburn so bad.

Yep, it's totally normal! I'm almost 10 weeks, and mine started around week 7. The pregnancy hormones cause certain muscles of your body to relax more than usual, and that includes the opening where your esophagus meets your stomach. So because of this, it's easier for acids in your stomach to travel up the esophagus.

Had hurtburn everyday from six weeks to eight weeks and then suddenly gone.

I wondered the same thing because I had heartburn at 5weeks. It wasn't horrible but it was definitely there. Dr. Said it was due to hormone levels changing.

Definitely normal! I get it around mid afternoon and then again late at night. I think I have a healthy diet too (with some junk food lapses from time to time😗). It feels like I swallowed a lump that won't go down. Yuck

I think my heartburn starts at just the thought of getting pregnant haha. Mine started around 5 weeks. I'm 10 wks now and it's only getting worse. 😩
