Growing fibroid and ttc

I was just hoping someone knows anything about my particular problem. So i had an ultrasound on Friday and my doctor called me today telling me that i needed to see my gyn right away. I guess my grape fruit sized fibroid has in the last two years grown considerably. I don't actually know how big it is now. My pcp is thinking it will need to be biopsied. My husband and i have been ttc for the past 7 months with obviously nothing sticking. So my question to the community is has anyone had a fibroid removed and if they have what was the out come?
