When should I start Clomid

Question

I know I am supposed to take Clomid on days 3-7 of my period. However I have been spotting for the past few days but not a full period, not even really tampon worthy. Do I start the Clomid now or wait a few days to see if I get an actual period? Hubby and I have been trying for baby #1 for 11 months now

You can only cound day 1 as the first day of full blown proper period bleeding. I sometimes spot as many as 5 days before actual period! If you're not sure call your doctor , this is what my doctor told me :) good luck! I also did clomid this month and will start progesterone after ovulation. Baby dust to us both!

CD1 is typically the first day of red flow! Spotting is common before you actually start. This is something your OB can give you better guidance on though, some of them have different criteria for what they will let pass as CD1.
