Getting period early mean ovulate early?

Question

I got my lmp 5 days early last month. My bf and I had sex the day after my period. I was wondering if it is possible I could have ovulated earlier and gotten pregnant. I have had some symptoms  but it could be my cycle being messed up or my mind playing tricks on me. It is too early to test still I think. (Grr this waiting game )

Your cycle starts on the first day of your period. You can get your period at any point, but usually the time after you ovulate until the time your period comes is the same. So if your last cycle was short, that may mean you ovulated early last cycle. It could also mean this cycle is short, and you ovulate earlier, but not necessarily.
