Does he get off

I've had this happen to me twice. Two different Guys. The problem is they have a hard time getting off when having sex. No matter how hard I try or what we do..I end up sore before he gets off or he gets frustrated and stops. They both have said it's not my fault. But I have to wonder what I can do to help. Some times he continues to play with himself till he gets off. He gets off mainly by masturbation.
