Typing on a phone is slow and annoying so abbreviations just make life easier.  Perhaps glow should have pinned threads with an explanation of abbreviations on each board so if people are unsure it's easy to find out what something means?

No, once you learn them.... It's nothing. You just read it normally with no problems.

What do you mean "removed?" You can't control who types SO it TTC on their keyboard. And why does it matter? It's faster and easier to type the abbreviation. If you don't know what it means just comment and ask and I guarantee SOMEONE will tell you what it means. That's how I figured out what they all meant.

It's just easier than writing out trying to conceive/avoid, basal body temperature,  ovulation predictor kit, etc. You can always ask for people to clarify or look it up :)

No way, you can usually tell what they mean by reading the rest of the paragraph. For example "we've been Ttc #3 for a year" pretty obvious what that means.

I said yes only because I have had this app only a month or so. A lot of the abbreviation I don't know what they mean. I try to read context clues to figure it out.

I don't mind them, at first I was like what the heck does this mean??? Then I googled it and was like ohhhh okay. Felt a little stupid haha but now that I know most of them I don't really care. I end up saying the words in my head. I'm a nurse so abbreviations are like my life

I don't think it's that bad here. I once had a guy text me (in the middle of a conversation with him) "brbintutbr"

I could have sworn he was telling me "be right back, insects need three uber trees" and then something shoot breaking rectangles.

But my sister told me he meant "be right back, I need to use the bathroom". I stopped talking to him.

Full sentences are bit ok as abbreviations. But I think what we use here is fine.

I don't feel like writing the full thing!!! Just ask what it means. Why write trying to concieve when you can write ttc easily.
