Help please!!! Maybe TMI

I'm only posting this because I'm extremely worried and so is my bf.

Okay.

My bf and I are in a LDR. The past two times he's visited we've attempted to have sex. By attempted I mean when he put his penis into my vagina it starts stinging and I start bleeding a lot. The first time we tried to have sex a few weeks ago I was a virgin, so we expected a little blood. But there was more than what we expected. Yesterday (only the second time) when we attempted sex there was a LOT of blood, but I stopped bleeding heavily within 10 minutes and then I continued to bleed very lightly throughout the rest of the day. Is this normal? We are both worried right now, and he feels terrible for hurting me. Sex is a big deal for us as we really want to have kids in the next few years.
