My cycle length has changed!!??

My cycle has always been every 28 days and on time for the most part as long as I remember but it had changed in last 2 months and it's happening this month again! I keep getting my period up to 6 days late which puts me at 35 day cycle... Im now 5 days late and my Prego tests are negative this is really frustrating... Do you think I should go see a doc or is this normal?? What causes periods to be so late???
