At my preconception appt I my doc said most of the OTC are fine. You just have to make sure it has 27mg or more of iron and 600mg or more of folic acid.

My dr offered to prescribe me some but told me the over the counter ones were fine and probably cheaper- so that's what I went with. So far, so good!

I do vita fusion  without  iron because I was constipated bad with the prescription she gave me something is better than nothing
