First Ultrasound?

When did you have your first ultrasound? 
I'm 5w1d and I am dying to find out when I can have my first ultrasound. I've read the norm isn't until around 10w?

My doc normally does the first ultrasound at 20 weeks, but I had mine at 13 weeks due to my age. I had a Nuchal fold screen.

Depends on lots of factors inc. your history, any previous losses, and the standard protocols of your healthcare provider. I'm in the uk and have had a lot of losses and health problems so I had a 1st scan at 7wks, another at 10wks and will have another tomorrow at 12 wks. Then I'll have them every 4 wks from 20wks

Depends on your doctor and your history. I think normally its between 8-10 weeks. My doc is seeing me at 6 due to previous mc.

I had my first at 7 weeks and when I met my doctor for the first time a week and a half later he did another to make sure all was going well. I go back at 13 weeks and I'm sure he'll check again to make sure all is well. 😊

I'm getting 3. I had one at 13 weeks to see exactly how far along I was. Then the anatomy scan at 20 weeks. And I'm getting one tomorrow at 34+6. Its to see if she's growing bc I'm measuring 3 weeks behind. If I was measuring right I wouldn't get it. But you get at least 2. It depends on your insurance and your OB will determine when you get the first one.

It depends on a lot of things. If there is no sign of fetal distress/no history of miscarriage, etc, a lot of doctors won't order an ultrasound until 20 weeks for the anatomy scan. With my first, that was the case, but we ended up getting one at 13 weeks because the doctor was unable to find her heartbeat via Doppler. She was perfectly fine 😊 this time around, I got an early ultrasound at 6 weeks 4 days because I had a previous miscarriage and was experiencing some spotting. Don't be too upset if your doctor doesn't schedule one until you are further along-- it means there is no noticeable reason to worry!

Mine was at 6w4d. The second one will be at 12w.

Depends where you live. I had my first ultrasound at 20 weeks which is normally the only one you get in Manitoba. I had a second one at 30 weeks to make sure my placenta moved enough to give birth naturally.
