Trip to Europe - What Do I Need?

Question

I will be going to Europe next month for a summer study program. This is my first time going abroad and I want to make sure I have all my bases covered. Aside from the basic toiletries, passport/identification, clothes and whatnot, what would you suggest I bring?

Remeber to talk to your bank...I forgot to do that when I went abroad and had to get my mom to do it for me when I was away lol

If you dont wsnt to bring a camera, make sure your cell phone has a huge sid card. I stored a bunch of pictures and still had a ton of space when my trip was over

I didnt think I needed shampoo and soap because I had planned on relying on the hotel, but im so glad my roommate brought hers and let me use her stuff. I endrd up buyimg my own because I didnt want to freeload. It's kinda cool having a bottle in a diff language lol kept it as a souvenir haha

Pack sunscreen and roll your shirts and clothes when you pack them to have more room. Unless it's something super fancy you dont want to get wrinkled, fold normally and put at the bottom of your suitcase.

Every place ive been does at least one "nice" event so just pack something that looks nice just in case. (Invited to a birthday party, for example, a wedding, events I didnt even olan would happen since I went to a country where I didnt know anyone lol)

Bring an extra bag for souvenirs,  unless you plan on buying a bag abroad like I did :)

I dont knoe what else you might need. If you have an itinerary, follow what it tells you. If it says we will be going swimming, pack accordingly :p

And watch YouTube videos. For peoole who go to asian countries,  people say PACK DEODORANT,  and ladies,  especially poc should bring their own make up....so just type the country and city you're going to and "what to bring/pack" and you'll find people's experiences and recommendation

Personally,  Id also bring a notebook and pen. Someone made a scrapbook on a trip we went on. It's pretty cool

My advice would be don't over pack! Check what the weather is like there at the time of year you'll be there and bring appropriate clothing but you'll probably end up buying stuff too. Make sure tou can get it all home. Be careful with over the counter medications (allergy or cold medicine particularly) as some of the ingredients could be classified as controlled substances there, that are fine at home. 
You'll be able to buy shampoo and toothpaste and stuff so only pack what you need to get through the first bit there. And if you're staying with a family or people who live there bring them a gift that represents home to you to say thanks for being hospitable! Have an amazing time!!!

I have no idea what they're called I'm having a brain fart but I think you'll need some sort of chord or special electrical plug in thing if you bring things like a hair dryer or hair straightener..maybe even for your phone charger?
