Has anyone along with their SO been a carrier for CF? If so did you have an amino or  CVS done to determine if the child definitely had it. Just curious if it's painful and any side effects you had after. Thank you!

We are both carriers and our daughter was born with CF. I'm prego again but will not have an amnio. The newborn screening with tell us if baby has CF or not. It will not change my pregnancy so I have no reason to put my baby at risk with the amnio.

How has it been with a child with CF I’m a first time mom just found out I’m a carrier but because dad disappeared I have no way to know If he’s a carrier or not so I want to get all the information I possibly can

I'm doing the DNA testing through my blood my son has it but my husband now we don't know for sure if he carries. See about getting the testing through your blood they do it at 10 weeks

From what the doctors where saying its a new test the can check the baby's DNA by my blood and it can show if the baby will have CF

The blood test will only tell you if you are a carrier. Won't tell you if baby has cf unless you do an amnio.
