My Mother passed away from aggressive Carcinoid Cancer a year and a half ago. If I could have gone to her to have my child so she could see it, I would have. My hubby would do anything he could to be with me though, even quit his job because he's a dork like that. Unfortunately, my mother will never see this child (except from heaven). Baby is due on October 24th, mom passed on October 2nd.

I can't imagine what you're going through, and I'm so sorry you have to make this decision.

In the end, the right answer is going to be whichever gives you peace. Maybe it's saying goodbye to your Mum and deliverig at home. Maybe it's for your husband to travel to where your Mum is after the baby is born. Do you have good social support in both places? If you stay with your Mum, is there someone who can take care of her needs if you had a tough birth and can't do so yourself? Is your mother in a phase where she could pass any moment or does she likely have some time so you could travel to her with the baby?

I'm not sure everyone understands what hospice care means. Husband can come to you when the time comes for labor. Take advantage of the time you have left with your mom. It's a regret that you'll always have otherwise. You and baby have the rest of life to spend with your husband, thankfully.

I just lost my dad last week to cancer and spent the preceeding 2 weeks at his side. If i could do it agaib i wouldn't give up that time for anything at all ever. Your hubby can fly to you. Your mom and you can't go to him.

You could deliver your Baby at your SO's place. You're able to fly with your Baby ( after a 'normal' safe birth) a few days after giving birth. But unfortunaltely your mother is very ill by now. If she has a tumor in her brain too - maybe you don't need to make this decision. I'm sorry.

I am currently 34 weeks and one day and best friends with my mom but I also dont want to have my husband not there when I give birth. Such a hard decision so I need help and advice. Doctors are not sure my mom will make it to my due date because she has a very aggressive lung cancer and now has taken over most of her body including her brain making unable to walk.
