Weird bumps on my inner thighs

I have had these weird masses since about the age of 11 or 12. Way before I was sexually active so we can rule anything like that out. I have gone to my primary family doctor and my lady doctor asking about what they could be and if they are harmful. They can be very painful at times, but end up going away after a week or so. My doctors have said that it is nothing harmful or any disease, it's just something to do with with my lymph nodes and pH levels and sebaceous glands. They really only occur when I am stressed and when they go away, they always leave scars and dark marks. Does anyone else have any suggestions on what they could be?
