When did you know..

I'm so in love with my boyfriend of two years. I went through a really horrible abusive manipulative relationship with my son's father. And my SO is nothing like that. So sweet, kind hearted and genuinely a good person. Ive never been so happy or in love before. He is great with my son also. I really want to marry him and start a life and have a baby with him and he says he does too but in time.

So my question when did you know that your SO was going to purpose? Just for fun ☺️

My husband and I had talked about it, but my brother was getting married and we wanted to wait so that my brother and his wife could enjoy their moment. We planned to go away the weekend after their wedding, but it was my friend's birthday so I mentioned wanting to celebrate her birthday. He got sort of flustered and kept saying how we'd planned the whole trip, so I was a little suspicious but figured he wouldn't do it a week after my brothers wedding...I expected a few months later, around my birthday, or even closer to Christmas. We went on a hike on our weekend away, and I was complaining how it was too steep and I was tired, so instead of making it up to the lake at the end of the hike he asked me in the middle of the trail...I apologized for it not going the way he planned, but looking back I kind of feel it was more us the way it happened...things never go as planned for us!

We had talked about it happening some day a lot, but the day he proposed I knew in my gut it was happening that day.

We went on a cruise for our first date (we had already known each other as friends for 10 years) and while we were in port I dragged him into jewelry stores trying to find some diamond earrings I could actually afford. I had no luck finding any earrings, but he nonchalantly asked "So, what kind of diamonds do you like?" and I knew at that moment we would end up married. He ended up getting me a beautiful engagement ring 2 months later, diamond earrings as a wedding present, and best of all we have a baby on the way now!
So short answer? I knew on our first date that he would propose!

I had absolutely no clue he was going to do it... I realized i wanted to marry him when I started spending more and more time at his apartment because he was the first person I wanted to see in the mornings and the last person I wanted to see at night and when something happened I wanted to tell him before anyone else... Then I just started to nonchalantly drop hints :-)

We both just felt like we were at that point in our life. I didn't know he was going to propose when he did but I did feel it coming. It just felt so right both of us.

He acted really nervous and I think he told me he loved me right around a million times before he did it I kinda had a hunch something was up. It'll happen be patient with him :)

I had no clue. We had talked about it and we had a trip planned for November, and I just assumed that's when it would happen, nope. He popped the question a month early, he got the ring and he said he couldn't wait, plus he wanted it to be a total surprise, and it was! 😊
