Help, spotting when wiping

Hi guys. I had some light red/pink spotting when I wiped this morning after using the bathroom when waking up. I haven't had it since. I also have an annoying very light cramping way down low, like below the uterine area. I saw my ob for my first visit on Tuesday. She did a pap and an internal exam. Is this related? She said to call if I had heavy bleeding or unbearable cramps. Since I haven't seen any more spotting I didn't call. I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and go for my first sonogram next Friday. Any thoughts are appreciated! !
