Measuring a little small?

Question

I went in for a 7 week 1 day ultrasound, but measured 6 weeks 3 days.  We heard a heartbeat (125).  My doctor wants me to come back in two weeks to confirm dating.  Should I be worried?  I had a MC last year and can't help my mind from thinking all kinds of crazy thoughts.  Thanks!

If you're within a week of your estimated timeline and there's a heartbeat, I wouldn't worry.

That's not a huge discrepancy in my experience. I had my EDD moved back a whole week once for a similar situation. You had a very good heartbeat, so all should be fine! Is the doctor having you come in for a follow up?

You may have just ovulated late. When I had my first US based on LNMP I should have been 8 w + 4 but I measured 7 w + 5. I knew when I ovulated, so I wasn't surprised by that. Baby actually measured 3 days bigger than I expected.

I was convinced and the doctors from day one i should be 13 weeks but im only 10 its nothing worry about its sometimes because you ovulate later than expect.hope everything goes ok and you have a happy healthy 9 month xxx
