How soon to tell family?

How soon after you found out that you were pregnant did you tell your family? I want to tell my family this weekend especially since it is Mother's Day but my husband doesn't want to tell him family until after my doctors appt which is 2weeks away. Glow says I'm 5weeks.

We're telling our parents because if something happens I want the support system there.

I'm 5 weeks today and only hubby, mum & 1 friend know. Everyone else we will tell after 12 weeks.

I think it's fine to tell family if you would use them as a support if something happened. I will tell my family on Mother's Day, but everyone else I will wait until 2nd trimester.

I'm going to be seeing my family in 2 weeks and I'll be nearly 8 weeks by then, so I'm thinking I'll tell only my parents then.

I'm in the same exact boat. 5w2d today. I want to surprise our moms with the news on Mother's Day. We plan to. But I'm not telling anybody else except for immediate family. First pregnancy. Not expecting the worse but so concerned bc it seems like it can happen to anybody

We waited until 10 weeks with both pregnancies we've had. Unfortunately our second pregnancy ended in missed miscarriage that was saw on the 12 week scan so some know about my miscarriage. I'm glad some close people know but I don't think I'd want everyone to know so I'm glad we kept it to just family and few friends.

I'm going to wait till memorial weekend as I will be about 10 weeks. I'm just crossing my fingers that everything will be good. I have my angel baby looking out for me.

Waiting until I'm in my second trimester before I tell my family. Just my husband and 3 of my co workers now. I had to tell my co workers as I need to make sure I make it to my appointments. While I know my family will be there if I was to have another miscarriage, I've had 3, I really like to wait. I'll be 15 weeks on the 4th of July which is when I will tell them.

I just found out (BFP on a HPT yesterday, BFP from a blood test today), Glow has me at 4W4D. I've already told our parents and some close friends. It's just too exciting for me! I couldn't keep it secret with my other two pregnancies either. It's too big and too fun to hide!

I'll be waiting till I'm 12 weeks. I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow. I'd love to tell EVERYONE but before we started even TTC we decided we would wait till 12 weeks....so here I am wishing we didn't agree on it. Lol hopefully no one notices I'm once again not drinking at his mom's on Mothers Day.....I'll be using the Oh I drank a lot lastnight excuse again. 😒
