When to set up the crib?

I'm 24+4 and I'm debating on whether to put up the crib already or not lol..I feel as if it's too early.  But at the same time I want it up already.  I don't have nothing set up yet. No clothes in the dresser/closet nothing! I don't even have my hospital bag ready. My SIL is due a month after me & she's all set.

I didn't get the nursery 'done' until this weekend at 35 weeks, and it could still use a couple touches. We set up the crib at 21 weeks only because MIL bought it and shipped it, and we had to make sure all the pieces were there and undamaged. A couple weeks later we painted, and a few weeks after that we put up decals. A week ago was our shower and this weekend I took things out of packaging and washed the smallest clothes and bedding. I'm a FTM with no complications so I wasn't feeling rushed, and still don't have the hospital bag packed. Setting thing up
 or washing too early means things are dusty and have to be washed again before baby arrives.

You can get started now. It gets harder to do things in the 3rd trimester because your belly will get in the way and energy dips. That and sleep interference will add to the tiredness.  We just finished off my daughter's room and I'm 29 weeks. We (hubby and his friend) moved my office furniture out of that room around 24 weeks.

We started early, bought crib on sale at 7wks, and set it up at 20!

I set my crib up as soon as I got it at 35 weeks! I washed all the clothes we got from the baby shower literally the day of my shower lol. Got everything set up and decorated room by 36 weeks. We didn't install car seat until day before induction though just in case of accident.

I wouldn't be able to wait, I'd start setting up as soon as I could... then again I'm being forced not to nest (which is driving me crazyyy!) because we're living with my FIL to save money till baby comes. Can't wait to have our own place to set up a baby room.

I would while you have the energy. I am waiting cause I have a bassinet for the first few months and the crib after she gets too big for that.

I think it is just whenever you want :) probably best to be at least in the second trimester (which you are) I would say the only thing to wait a little more on is washing and putting away clothes because they may retain smells or smell musty instead of clean if you do it too early.
