What can I expect on my next appointment?

Today was my 2nd prenatal appointment and I am 12 weeks. All we did was go over my lab results and listen to the baby's heartbeat. No ultrasound. I had a vaginal ultrasound at my first appointment at 8 week appointment. Shouldn't they have checked to see if the baby was growing properly? Kinda upset. Will I be getting my next appointment? What did you have done your 3rd appointment? I'll be 15.5 weeks then

I get lectures about my weight every time I go in. And they measure your uterus, heartbeat, and that's about it! At least that's what it's like for me!

Nope. Ultrasounds are not routine. Ask you provider what their usual is.

At 16 weeks I had mine and all they done was blood pressure, weight, check baby's heart beat, ask how I was feeling. I saw my daughter at 10 wks, 13 wks for a gentic test, 20 wks for gender scan and just now 28 wks for her final 3D/4D ultrasound but I paid for that out of pock and was a special appointment. Other than that I didn't see her bc I'm not considered high risk

Basically every appointment until about 35 weeks will be: weigh you, check vitals, listen to baby's heartbeat, "Are you feeling okay? See you next month."
You'll have a gender scan around 20 weeks and then do your glucose test about 25-28 weeks. 
And I believe, unless you're high risk, most insurance companies only pay for two ultrasounds.
