Anecdotal stories vs. actual data
I can't believe I need to point this out, but it bears saying anyway.
If we're debating a question that pertains to a large scale, systemic issue that affects whole populations, your personal, subjective experience of that issue is almost irrelevant.
This means that the fact that you, personally, have never experienced racism doesn't equate to 'racism doesn't exist anymore'.
That you've never been targeted by the cops doesn't mean that black people in general are not being targeted.
And just because you know someone who committed welfare fraud doesn't make it common among everyone on welfare.
FFS, before you offer your opinion on something, at least Google for the most relevant recent studies on it first, or admit that your opinion is only based on your experience and may not be generalized.
