Irregular Periods, Coming off BC..Questions??

Ok so my boyfriend and I are TTC. I have been off my birth control for a month. Before I went on Birth control I had very irregular periods. There may be times where I went months without one then I may get one that lasted three or four days then it may be three more months before I got another one. After being off bc for a month I still haven't gotten my period. I read on a lot of different sites that you can get pregnant if you have an irregular period it's just a little harder because it's harder to know when you're ovulating. I've had a lot off pregnancy symptoms the past couple weeks but I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant. Was just wondering if anyone experiences irregular periods while TTC and how that worked out and all.
