Birth Control

I'm starting to look into birth control so I can know which one to get after the baby. I plan on breast feeding. I had those shots every 3 months but it made me gain so much weight and was thinking about getting the one in the arm that lasts a couple years, but I heard the same thing. I'm prone to infections as well and when I was on the pill, I kept forgetting to take them/don't take them at the same time everyday. Any suggestions?
