Lab results back now I'm scared

I received my lab work results today via email it has the typical numbers with the normal ranges basically everything was off mostly indicating low iron and low red blood cells. I have gotten anemia a few times before but it has never really affected me too bad and I've always felt pretty normal. What really scared me was that for the hemoglobinopathy results it states"possible alpha thalassemia trait. Rule out iron deficiency anemia" this is totally intimidating and I'm so scared now. Then my doctors office calls me and tells me they want my partner to get tested as well and my doctor also referred me to a hematologist so obviously I'm freaking out just not knowing what the deal is. Just wondering if anyone has gone through this or can give me some insight.
